Assignment

Complex geotechnical assessment for landslide investigation program comprising geological, geophysical, geomechanical, geotechnical laboratory, drilling and stratigraphycal surveys, including long term inclinometer and piezometer monitoring for areas affected by landslides. 
 

Our Role

Our company was hired to provide geophysical information regarding supposed landslide slip plane for over 6 km of motorway.

For the provided scope of works the geophysical method that applied was ERT (Electric Resistivity Tomography). Using mostly standard electrodes configuration (Wenner, Wenner - Schlumberger, Dipol - Dipol, etc.) and accurate topographical information we managed to measure more than 20 km of resistivity profiles. The results were integrated with geological and borehole data, for a better picture of the overall landsilde affecting the motorway passage.

Geoelectrical survey provided quick and reliable answers, saving costs and time, proving itself as a usefull tool for geotechnical purposes.
